Baki Hanma is an exceptionally strong young man. He spends every waking moment training and fighting so that he may someday surpass the fighting abilities of the strongest being on Earth – his father Yuujirou Hanma, a cruel man who lives only to fight and hurt people.
There’s at least a trilogy’s worth of plot here in just one movie, and at times the pacing is simultaneously too slow kakım it crams all this worldbuilding and lore, and too fast bey it rushes from grup piece to set piece, storyline to storyline.

Baki as a whole has always been primarily about Baki Hanma, the protagonist, and his father Yujiro, the strongest creature on Earth both feared and respected by all. These two are constantly integral parts to the overall story bey they should be, yet to witness so many side characters be treated so sparingly emanet be disheartening to say the least. However, my biggest problem with this adaptation when it comes to characters is with its handling of the main character Baki Hanma. This is a sıkıntı that I feel is more prominent to those who have followed the series from the beginning and have seen Baki grow from the hot-headed impulsive gifted brat to an exceptional fighter worthy of being called a champion.
So what's the problem? Well Baki isn't all that interesting of a character and we barely find anything out anything about him in the first episode because it spends most of the episode showing the inmates escaping. Obviously, we are mainly here for the fights but a show or movie needs a good plot before, during, and after the fight or else the fight and the character(s) in the fight(s) won't be birli interesting. Just imagine how uninteresting baki the world tournament in dragon ball would be if we barely learned anything about Goku before the tournament and/or if the plot before, during, and after the tournament wasn't good either.
The character development for Baki is also lacklustre to an extent. Characters in Baki hayat often be considered embodiments of their chosen martial arts style, with the values and overarching philosophy of each forging abdulbaki the minds, bodies and souls of their practitioners. Through this understanding the show probably appears to be stacked with many distinct personalities to play with at the writer’s leisure, yet it remains difficult for many to leave a strong impression on the audience.
